These security windows are designed to offer adaptable protection against forced entry, escape attempts, gunfire, and explosions.

With combined knowledge of Woller, Sälzer and Hammerglass, we offer best solutions on the market. 

Using advanced steel and aluminium profile systems, the frames combine high strength with a sleek, minimalistic design. Certified to meet specific resistance classes, they ensure both structural integrity and the ability to support large glass panes. Most security components are discreetly integrated, preserving aesthetic appeal. The design options are versatile, making them suitable for both modern architecture and historically significant buildings.

Forced entry resistance
  • Frame and special glazing tested as a complete unit in various designs in accordance with DIN EN 1627-1630 up to RC5 (fixed pane RC6). A note about the glazing: In the high resistance classes RC5 and RC6, the P7B and P8B glazing tested in line with DIN EN 356 must be replaced with glazing of higher quality, as it is only tested with blows with an axe. This glazing cannot withstand attacks with the electrical tools used in these high burglar resistance classes.
Bullet resistance
  • In accordance with DIN EN 1522-1523 up to FB7-NS, glazing in accordance with DIN EN 1063 up to BR7-NS.
Blast resistance
  • In accordance with DIN EN 13123-2 and DIN EN 13124-2 up to EXR3 (12 kg|5,5 m). Tested in accordance with customer-specific requirements, e.g. with 500 kg of explosives in 24 m. With the use of DIN EN 13123-1 and 13124-1 up to EPR4. Sector specific tests e.g. for the petrochemical industry Various shock tube tests with reflected with a peak pressure of 134 kPa (1.34bar) and a positive pressure duration of 2 sec. Glazing as per SÄLZER design. Classified: GSA 2 ("Very High" protection level), ISO B ("No Hazard" hazard rating).

Forced entry resistance
  • In accordance with DIN EN 1627-1630 up to RC4 in accordance with DIN 356 up to P8B. Also tested in tilted window position up to RC3 (series SECURON®)
Bullet resistance
  • In accordance with DIN EN 1522-1523 up to FB4-NS, glazing in accordance with DIN EN 1063 up to BR4-NS.
Blast resistance
  • In accordance with DIN EN 13123-2 and DIN EN 13124-2 up to EXR3 (12 kg |5.5 m). Tested in accordance with customer-specific requirements, e.g. with 500 kg of explosives in 24 m. Security windows SECUFIRE®

Four different types

To comply with all customer requirements concerning security and design the SECUFIRE® series is available in four different types:

  • SECUFIRE® S (profile depth 70 mm/max. glass thickness 57 mm)
  • SECUFIRE® U (profile depth 83 mm/ max. glass thickness 70 mm)
  • SECUFIRE® F (profile depth 75 mm/ max. glass thickness 62 mm)
  • SECUFIRE® P (profile depth 65 mm / max. glass thickness 52 mm)


Forced entry resistance
  • In accordance with DIN EN 1627-1630 up to RC4, glazing in accordance with DIN EN 356 up to P8B.
Bullet resistance
  • In accordance with DIN EN 1522-1523, up to FB4-NS, glazing in accordance with DIN EN 1063 up to BR4-NS.
Blast resistance
  • According to customised requirements, tested in various open range tests with different explosive charges, reflected pressure up to 272,2 kPa (2,722 bar), glazing composition according SALZER requirements, GSA2.
Fire
  • Classified according to DIN 4102 up to F90** resp. DIN EN 13501-2 up to EI 90
Smoke
  • Classified according to DIN 18095 in RS-12 resp. DIN EN 13501-2 up to S200.

Breakout resistant windows METAS®

Testing on the opening and closing side

METAS® windows are tested in accordance with the European standard for burglar resistance DIN EN 1627-1630 in the following classes on both sides of the window:

  • Fixed glazing: up to resistance level RC4 on the inside and outside
  • Opening window unit: up to resistance level RC3 on the inside | up to resistance level RC4 on the outside

No opportunities for suicide attempts and vandalism

  • The vent profiles and glazing beads are particularly solid, flush-fitted and rounded on request.
  • The special design of the glazing beads prevents them from being removed, or the glazing gasket from being pulled out.
  • It is therefore not possible for the inmates to take out the glazing.
  • The special profile design means that both fixed lights and side-hung vents can be constructed in a way that prevents suicide attempts.
  • The fittings are concealed, eliminating a further opportunity for suicide attempts, and it is not possible to remove the window vent.
  • To reduce the risk of suicides and vandalism, window handles are not used on the opening window vents.
  • The side-hung vent is only opened and closed for cleaning and ventilation by means of a special key held by staff. It is also tamper-proof.
